Ultramarine Blue Scope of Application
Coloring: used in paint, ink, paint, plastic, rubber, leather, cosmetics, printing and dyeing textiles, art pigments and other industries. Ultramarine blue is widely used for coloring plastics. Generally speaking, the amount of ultramarine blue pigment added to plastics is 0.1% to 0.5% of the amount of plastic.
Whitening: used in papermaking, soap washing powder, knitting, detergent, clothing and shoe materials, white products and civil wall painting, etc. The feature of whitening can eliminate the yellow light in white paint or other white pigments, and it is widely used in titanium white carving white, and its dosage is 0.1%~1% of titanium white.
Painting: ultramarine blue belongs to mineral pigments. Add blending oil, glue and acrylic to ultramarine blue powder to make oil painting, watercolor painting, gouache painting and acrylic painting respectively. It is transparent, has weak hiding power and bright lightness, so it is not suitable for painting very dark tones. But it is suitable for decorative colors, especially in ancient buildings.
Toning: Adding ultramarine blue to black, gray and other colors can make the color have a soft luster.
Others: Ultramarine can be used as an anti-aging agent for perfluorinated resins, a hydrocracking catalyst, and adsorb uranium from seawater, etc.
